What our last check changed

Software changes after a guide is recorded. Each guide here was re-read against the vendor's own help pages, and anything that had drifted was fixed. This is what changed on a few of them.

Quick fixes

Most guides end with the ways the task tends to go wrong. A few of them, with the fix, from across the library.

How it works

How each guide is made

  1. 01

    Done in the real product

Impran M N carries out each task in the actual app and records the screen. The screenshots in a guide come from that recording, not from stock images or mock-ups.

  2. 02

    Written step by step

The recording is turned into numbered steps, each with the screen it describes. Pages cover what the task needs: some carry prerequisites, costs, comparison tables or a troubleshooting section, and some don't.

  3. 03

    Checked against the vendor's docs

Menus move and plans change, so guides are re-read against the vendor's own help pages. 650 of 650 guides have been through that check so far, citing 1,489 official pages across 182 sites.

  4. 04

    Changes are written down

The bottom of every checked guide says what was compared, against which pages, and what was corrected. Nothing there claims testing that didn't happen.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does Easy Tech Tuts cover?

Step-by-step guides for 68 tools, from website builders, domains and hosting to accounting, payments, design, project management and AI assistants. Each guide covers one task from start to finish.

Are the guides free?

Yes. Every guide is free to read, with no account or sign-up.

How do I know a guide is still accurate?

Each guide shows, just under its title, the date it was last checked against the vendor's official documentation, and lists the pages it was checked against at the bottom. Software changes faster than any site can follow, so if what you see on screen doesn't match, please get in touch through the Contact page.

Where do the screenshots come from?

From a screen recording of the task being done in the real app. They aren't mock-ups. An older recording can show an earlier layout, and where a re-check found that a menu or button had moved, the guide says so.

Can I ask for a guide on something that isn't covered?

Yes. Send the request through the Contact page.
