How to Match Bank Transactions in QuickBooks Online, Check Manual & Multiple Transaction Easily 2026

By Impran M N

Keeping your books clean means avoiding duplicate entries, and QuickBooks Online gives you three ways to match bank feed transactions to existing records: approving automatic suggestions, running manual searches, and linking several invoices to one large deposit. This guide covers all three.

01Open the bank feed

Go to All Apps, then Bank Transactions, and select your target account to view the For Review queue.

02Approve auto-matches

Look for green Match Found labels, review the suggested record details, then click Match to link them without creating duplicates.

03Search manually for missing records

On an unmatched row, click Find Other Matches and use the filter panel to search by date or exact amount to surface hidden transactions.

04Match multiple invoices to one deposit

Toggle Match Multiple, check off several open customer payments whose combined total equals the bank deposit amount.

05Save and audit

Click Save to complete the multi-transaction match, then check the Categorized tab to verify or undo any misaligned matches.
