How to Link Credit Cards to QuickBooks Online, Add & Connect Cr. Card to QBO Easily 2026
By Impran M N
Manually sorting through monthly credit card statements is a slow way to keep your books current. Linking your card directly to QuickBooks Online lets transactions flow in automatically, ready for categorizing. This guide covers finding your card issuer, authorizing the connection, and mapping it to the right liability account.
01Open Bank Transactions
From the left sidebar, click Transactions, then Bank Transactions to reach your connected accounts screen.
02Start a new connection
Click the Link Account button in the upper right to begin adding your card issuer.
03Search for your issuer
Type your card provider's name, such as Chase, Amex, or Capital One, into the search field and select it from the verified list.
04Log in and choose accounts
Enter your bank credentials in the secure authorization window, then uncheck any personal cards and select only your business account.
05Map the account and connect
Match the card to its Credit Card liability line in your Chart of Accounts, choose your historical data range, then click Connect to pull in transactions.
