How to Connect Venmo to QuickBooks, Add & Integrate Easily 2026

By Impran M N

If clients are paying you through Venmo, you don't have to reconcile those transactions by hand every month. This guide covers enabling Venmo as an invoice payment option and connecting your Venmo activity to QuickBooks Online so deposits match up automatically.

01Enable Venmo on customer invoices

Go to the Gear icon, select Account and Settings, then open the Sales section and turn on the option to accept PayPal/Venmo payments.

02Send an invoice with Venmo enabled

Create a new invoice and send it to a client, who will now see a Venmo payment option on their billing screen.

03Set up a dedicated Venmo account

In your Chart of Accounts, create a Venmo asset account to track gross amounts coming in through this payment method.

04Connect a live bank feed or upload a CSV

From Bank Transactions, click Link Account and search for Venmo, or manually upload a Venmo statement CSV if a live feed isn't available.

05Match transactions in the For Review queue

Review imported transactions and map them to your Venmo asset account to keep your ledger accurate.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can clients pay my invoices directly through Venmo?

Yes, once you enable the Venmo/PayPal toggle in your Sales settings, clients will see that payment option on invoices you send them.

Do I need a live bank feed for Venmo?

Not necessarily. If a direct feed isn't available, you can manually upload a Venmo statement CSV into the For Review queue instead.

Why should I create a separate Venmo account in my ledger?

A dedicated account keeps Venmo transactions separate from your regular bank feed, making it easier to track and reconcile digital wallet payments.

Are there fees to worry about when tracking Venmo income?

Yes, processing fees can affect the amount that hits your books, so it helps to track gross amounts and account for fees separately.
